TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF HIRE
PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE ARE IMPORTANT CONDITIONS AFFECTING YOUR RIGHTS AND SHOULD BE READ CAREFULLY.
This hire policy constitutes a legal agreement entered into between the Client and PropsandDrops (as defined below) and shall apply to all rental orders placed through PropsandDrops.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Simply browse our beautiful handmade collection of dresses and backdrops for hire on our website, choose a dress/backdrop of your choice to hire for your sessions, we send the dress/backdrop to you the day before your chosen start date. You then use your dress/backdrops, and then simply send it back to us using the prepaid label and package you received when your item arrived. Please not the item must be shipped back within 24 hours of your end date.
Our Service allows customers to access the site and hire maternity dresses and backdrops from PropsandDrops in accordance with these Terms of Use. The customer can choose the product/products to hire from our unique on-line selection, and have them shipped to their chosen address. This is done with a return date which is the end of the hire period, if the item is not sent back to us on the designated return date – the first working day after the end date which was chosen at checkout – we reserve the right to charge you £10 a day for everyday the item/s is not received back to us past the chosen return date. The current shipping policies governing the delivery and return of products are detailed on the Site in the Delivery and FAQ sections.
DELIVERY
Delivery time for the dress or backdrop you have hired may vary based upon product availability, customer delivery address, when you place an order, and any other circumstances that could impact delivery. Accordingly, PropsandDrops makes no guarantees as to actual delivery time. We will send you an email letting you know when your product is shipped.
We send our packages to our customers via UK Royal Mail 24h or 48h TRACKED and SIGNED. The total price of posting the item/s to you and you sending it back to us on the date chosen is £10 for Backdrops, and £15 for Dresses, which covers all costs of postage and packaging, this is added at checkout. You will be able to track your package via the RoyalMail tracking website. Please ensure someone is in for the parcel as a signature is required in order to pass the item over to you.
We hire our dresses/backdrops to you on the understanding that they are returned in an undamaged condition.
RETURNS & HIRING CONDITIONS
Our Maternity dresses and Fabric Backdrops are in the sole responsibility of yourself, the hirer, and therefore we expect you to take good care of our products, minor spillages and small marks are inevitable and we have high quality dry cleaners on hand who clean all the items when we receive them back from customers as well as a seamstress, however if a product is returned in a damaged or dirty condition that exceeds normal wear and tear, as determined by the PropsandDrops team in its sole discretion, you agree that PropsandDrops may charge you for the repair cost of a product if damaged or stained, or we also hold the right to charge you the full cost of replacing such products if ruined beyond repair. The product replacement fee will vary depending on each item, but it will be charged at 200% of the value of the item. This is to cover the payment for a new item and also 3-4 weeks lost waiting for the item to be back in stock.
You the customer should not alter or make any additions to the items or in any other manner interfere with the item during your hire period. If this happens, we have the right to charge you the repair cost or full cost of replacing the item.
You the customer are responsible for loss or damage to our items such as theft, fire, severe stains and any other causes in the hiring period. Please understand that if the item is returned with any kind of these damages, you are to pay the full 200% fee according with our price lists. The customer must notify us of any damage to our dress that occurs during their hire period.
If a customer decides not to send the rented dress back to us, we reserve the right to charge the customer a 200% fee based on the retail price of the item. Each item price varies depending on style.
We strongly suggest you keep the proof of delivery receipt when the item is sent back to us, because if we do not receive a product back from you, and you the customer has no proof of delivery, we hold the authority to charge your credit card the full 200% retail price of the item. Again the retail selling price of the dress/item at the date of hire will vary depending on each item.
Under no circumstances are customers to attempt to clean any Maternity Dresses themselves (dry clean, cold wash or any other way) If done so, we reserve the right to charge the customer for part or full replacement value of the item if any damage is done to the product. If backdrops become wet following Cake Smash and Splash sessions, please make sure the item si dryed before sending it back.
If the dress/backdrop is not returned to us at PropsandDrops within 48h from the end date you selected at checkout, we reserve the right to charge you £10 for each day the item is not returned back to us, as you are preventing other customers from renting that item.
If for any reason you are not happy with the PropsandDrops hire service at any point, before during or after a purchase please contact us at propsandrops@gmail.com and we will be happy to assist you with any complaint or query you may have.
Alternatively if you are pleased with the service you receive from PropsandDrops please also make us aware, as we like to share customer feedback on our website.
If you have any pictures with the items in use , or a comment you would like to make on the item you rented from www.propsanddrops.com please email them to us at propsandrops@gmail.com so we can upload them to the gallery section of the website and our social media platforms where customer feedback is displayed and available to be seen by other PropsandDrops customers.
BILLING
Once the item is returned and inspected a Paypal Invoice will be issued with the extra charges accumulated. We offer a 50% reduction in price if the invoice is paid in the first 14 days.
Should no payment be received within the 31 days from this notice then PropsandDrops has the right to make a small court claim against the client for the full amount plus any court fees incurred.
If PropsandDrops does not receive payment from your credit card provider or if your card expires or is rejected, You will be contacted by PropsandDrops team or agent immediately.
You are solely responsible for any and all fees charged to your credit card by the issuer and bank but not limited to overdraft or use insufficient funds or go over your credit limit fees.
CANCELLATION: COSTS AND REFUNDS
You may return a rented item and receive a Voucher as form of credit, for future hires, for any reason such as, the item does not fit, you do not like the item. You have 24 hours to return the item to us in the original state it was sent to you to receive a full refund from us (minus shipping costs of £10 + £10 re-stocking fee), You must deposit the item for return at your local post office either the day or day after you receive the parcel. Most post offices close at 5pm. Unless advised by PropsandDrops, should a product be kept longer by the customer than the 24 hour period for returns, PropsandDrops reserves the right to charge the full rental fee and reject a refund. Please contact propsandrops@gmail.com if you are returning an item, and if you wish to request to keep an item overnight which you do not wish to use.
If the item is not in its original condition when it was sent to you, therefore has marks of being worn, we will take this as the item has been used, therefore we reserve the right to charge you the full amount of the product rental and reject a refund.
On the rare occasion that when the item is inspected by you the customer and defects are found, please contact us immediately by phone or email and make us aware of the alleged defect, damage or any other faults so we can assist you further with your hire.
If you wish to cancel your order BEFORE it is posted out to you, please let us know as soon as you can by contacting customer service on propsandrops@gmail.com or via our Facebook Page @PropsandDrops and we will be happy to take care of this for you. If you cancel your order within 24 hours of your order, you will offered a FULL refund. If you are to cancel your order anytime afterwards and up until 4 days prior to your start date, you will be issued with a Voucher in the value of your order, however you will incur a £10 deposit (per item) fee that will not be refunded.
Once you have used the item and kept it for more than 24 hours we will not be able to give any customer a credit voucher.

By placing an order with PropsandDrops, you are offering to hire a product and subject to the following terms and conditions. All orders are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price.
Dispatch times may vary according to availability and any guarantees or representations made as to delivery times are limited to mainland UK and subject to any delays resulting from postal delays for which we will not be responsible.
WHAT INFORMATION DO WE TAKE FROM YOU?
PropsandDrops collects personal information when you place an order. By using our service you are consenting to the collection of personal data including name, email address, phone numbers, home address, credit/debit card and more so that we can process and fulfil your order.
Your information will not be passed on to third parties without your consent.
Your payment details are taken on a secure payment platform system which will not be shared, and will only be used to process your order using our payment partner systems. PropsandDrops may use your personal information for processing of orders, payments and to provide you the customer with a personalised shopping experience.
We may also use your personal information to send you marketing updates, but only in accordance with your preferences.
We may also use your telephone number or email you to discuss your order.
